Dog Run
If you are traveling with your dog in East Tennessee I know it can be hard to find an open place to let them roam.
I travel with Nova ( My German Shepard Husky) everywhere I go, so you can expect a good amount of my vlogging to include your fur babies.
I call this location the “Dog Run” because, it is just that, a place to let your dog run their zoomies off while cooling down in the Watauga river.
Parking is directly across the road where you can walk down an easy short grassy trail and find both fields connected along the river.
The long connected fields are a total of 0.36 miles along the river, this area offers a variety of spots for your dog to wade into the flowing water safely.
The second field is an open grassy space hidden in a cove like area, A Huge fetching play area if you will.
This location is my favorite in the evenings because of the shade and breeze, even on the hottest days this location will keep your dogs cool!
Bring a picnic and enjoy the views, or grab your tackle and try your hand at fishing. I love watching the fly fisherman bring in their catch.
